Ruby Pickrell Simpson Obituary
She is survived by her husband of the home; daughter, Linda (Kenneth) Rivers of Burlington; sons, Ronald Simpson and Donald Simpson, both of Burlington and her niece who was more like a sister, Margaret Jennielane Pennington. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Roy Pickrell, Melvin Pickrell, Frances P. Garrison and Ruth P. Simpson.
The funeral will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday at Bethel United Methodist Church by Rev. Stewart Crank and Rev. Dave Gilbert with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 1421 Bethel Methodist Church Rd., Burlington, NC 27217. You may sign the online register book at www.lowefuneralhome.com.

Speaking for the RSHS Class of 1957, we were so sorry to hear of Ruby's passing. Although we haven't seen her lately, she was an important part of our class. Our sympathy to all the family.

I enjoyed growing up on Basin Creek Road and having such good neighbors. I remember Ruby organized the library book mobile to come out and we would get so excited to see it pull in at the Simpson house. Ruby was very talented with her sewing and was a good cook. My sympathy to all the family.
