MEBANE – Mr. William Paul Hunter, Sr., 78, of Mebane, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Alamance Healthcare Center in Burlington.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday January 27, 2018 at the Rock Creek AME Church with the Pastor Archie Evans officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the Church.

Paul, Angela and family, your Dad will be truly missed. I would always see him and get a haircut every time I came to NC. He would always tell me that I could only get a good haircut from him. I will always remember his smile and jokes. May God be with each of you during this time.

Praying for peace and comfort for the family and friends of Paul. I first met Paul as a little guy when my Dad took me to get a haircut in the late 60s. I would get my hair cut there when needed until the time I enlisted in the Air Force. Paul was so nice and always put one at ease. You could see too that he really loved God.
Paul will be greatly missed, I was blessed to know him. God Bless!

"Pepop" was the name I knew of Mr. Paul Hunter Sr because he was my younger cousins grandfather. He has never changed in his personality or the way he has treated anybody since I have met him. He was a very loving and caring man and he will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
