Ann Mills Obituary
Mills, age 74, of Martin,
gained her heavenly wings
on Thursday May 9, 2024
at Mountain Lakes Medi-
cal Center in Clayton, Ga.
A daughter of the late
Lewis and Caroline
Bryant Copenhaver, she
was born Dec. 11, 1949 in
Huntington, W.Va., hav-
ing lived most of her life in
Toccoa. She was a gradu-
ate of the University of
Georgia and retired with
30 years of service with
the Stephens County
School System as a coun-
selor. She loved to read,
owls, art, and antiques
and was of the Lutheran
faith.
Survivors include her
husband, Ed Mills of the
home; sons, Jon Mills and
Matt Mills of Martin;
brother, Jim Copenhaver
of Fla.; sisters, Mary Waite
and Sue Ellen Collins; two
nephews, Tim and Danny
Waite; niece Karen Copen-
haver
A memorial service will
be held Friday, May 17,
2024 at 3 p.m. in the Hill-
crest Chapel of Acree-
Davis Funeral Home with
the Rev. Jerrell Beatty and
the Rev. Don Scott officiat-
ing. The family received
friends at the Acree-Davis
Funeral Home on Wednes-
day, May 15, 2024 from 5-7
p.m. and on Thursday,
May 16, 2024 from 4-6 p.m.
Inurnment will follow
in Stephens Memorial
Gardens Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers memo-
rials may be made to the
