Ann Finley Mitchell,
went to be with her Savior
on Friday, July 11, 2025,
passing peacefully in her
home in Martin, Ga.
Ann was born on May 3,
1945, in Toccoa, Ga. She
graduated from Stephens
County High School and
North Georgia Technical
School. She went on to
work for Northeast Geor-
gia Bank for 30 years be-
fore retiring. She was also
a member of the United
Daughters of the Confeder-
acy where she served as
treasurer for many years.
Ann was a faithful
Christian, attending Old
Toccoa Baptist Church in
her youth, and becoming a
member of Martin Baptist
Church after marrying
David Mitchell in 1965,
where she attended as
long as she was able. She
was a loving wife and a
wonderful mother and
grandmother (as well as a
very talented cook). She
loved spending time with
all of her children and
grandchildren. Ann's
sweet and encouraging
spirit will be greatly
missed by all who knew
her.
She was preceded in
death by her parents, Fred
and Eunice Finley, as well
as her brother and sister-
in-law, Fred and Laura
Finley.
Ann is survived by her
husband of 60 years, Jack-
son David Mitchell, her
children Randy Mitchell
(Cheryl), LeAnn Cleveland
(Chad), Amy Kerwood
(Jeff), and her stepson
Jimmy Mitchell (Denise).
She is survived by many
grandchildren: Maranda
Reed (Rob), Alex Mitchell
(Priya), Jackson Cleveland
(Elayna), Ryan Mitchell,
Jake Kerwood (Aspen),
Gabe Cleveland (Avery),
Ben Cleveland, Annalyn
Kerwood, and great grand-
son Camden Reed.
She is also survived by
her brother Roger Finley
(Jane) and nieces and
nephews Karen Scheibl-
hofer, Kathy Mitchell
(Michael Hathaway), Kas-
sandra Ide (Mike), Kelli
Paul (Brett), Melissa Pera
(Gary), Ben Finley, Eliza-
beth Little (Matt), as well
as many great nieces and
nephews.
A memorial service to
remember Ann's life was
held Tuesday, July 15,
2025, at 3 p.m. in the Hill-
crest Chapel of the Acree-
Davis Funeral Home with
the Rev. Tyler Matthews,
Mr. Randy Mitchell and
Dr. Roy Rogers officiating.
The family received
friends at the Acree-Davis
Funeral Home on Tuesday
from 1 p.m. until the ser-
vice time. Online condo-
