Annette Scott Obituary

Mrs. Annette McCurry
Smith Scott, age 85, of Fieldale Road, Toccoa, passed
away Tuesday, April 29,
2025, at her residence.
A daughter of the late
Dorsey A. McCurry and
Valene Kellar McCurry,
she was born June 4, 1939,
in Stephens County, Ga.,
where she had lived all
her life. She was retired
from Coats American with
47 years of service and was
a member of Zebulon Baptist Church. She loved to
read and do word searches
and was an avid collector
of wind chimes and bird
houses. She loved her family dearly, especially her
two grandsons.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by her first husband, Carl Smith, her second husband, Ernest Scott
and by her brothers and
sisters; Charles McCurry,
Bruce McCurry, Gary McCurry, Johnny Ray McCurry, Bonnie Faye
Roberts, and Louise
Guthrie.
Survivors include her
daughter, Karen Stanford,
of Toccoa; two grandsons,
A.J. Stanford and Mason
Stanford, both of Toccoa;
sisters-in-law, Joyce McCurry, of Westminster,
S.C. and Louise McCurry,
of Toccoa; and a number of
nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will
be Saturday, May 3, 2025,
at 3 p.m. at Hills Crossing
Baptist Church Cemetery
with Mr. Mike McCurry,
Mr. Anthony McCurry
and Mr. Daniel Kellar officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Anthony McCurry, Mike McCurry, Trent
Guthrie, Daniel Kellar,
Nick Adams, and Kevin
Campbell.
The family will receive
friends at the Acree-Davis
Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:15-2:15 p.m..

be left for the family at

Interment will follow in
the Hills Crossing Baptist
Church Cemetery with the
Acree-Davis Funeral
Home and Crematory in
charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Annette
McCurry Smith Scott.
