Carl Fennell Obituary
nell, age 76, of Toccoa,
Georgia, passed away
Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023 after
an extended illness.
The son of the late Nor-
man "Butch" Henry and
Goldie McNany Fennell,
he was born May 21, 1947
in Fenelton, Pa. After
graduating high school in
Pennsylvania, he moved to
Toccoa, Georgia to attend
Toccoa Falls College. After
graduating from TFC, he
became Dean of Students
at Toccoa Falls Academy.
After the Academy closed
in 1976, he became Dean of
Students at Rabun Gap Na-
coochee School. From
there he moved on to
Sumpter Christian School
and then back to Rabun
Gap where he spent a total
of 24 years before retire-
ment. After he retired, he
worked for the mainte-
nance department at Toc-
coa Falls College for sever-
al years.
Visitation will be from
10-11 a.m. Thursday, Sept.
14, 2023 at Chicora Al-
liance Church, 310 E. Slip-
pery Rock Street, Chicora,
Pennsylvania. The funeral
will follow at 11 a.m. Buri-
al will follow the service at
St. Johns Reformed
Church Cemetery, Chico-
ra, Pennsylvania.
A memorial service will
be held at the Toccoa First
Alliance Church on Sept.
23, 2023, at 11 a.m. with the
Rev. Doug Ord officiating.
In lieu of flowers, dona-
tions may be made to the
Christian Missionary Al-
liance Church 310 E. Slip-
pery Rock Street Chicora,
Pennsylvania 16025.

Sad to learn of Carl´s passing. He was an outstanding dorm parent, Dean of Students and quite an artist too. I enjoyed several visits with him at his Toccoa Georgia home. He treasured his large and friendly dogs: Coco, Tara and Jack.
