Janice Johnson

Mrs. Janice Harrison
Johnson, age 83, of Toccoa,
passed away Tuesday,
July 1, 2025, at Avery Vil-
lage Assisted Living and
Memory Care in Winter-
ville, Ga.
Born Dec. 8, 1941, she
was the daughter of the
late Cohen Lamar and
Jewell Keeling Harrison.
Mrs. Johnson was the
executive secretary at
UARCO (later known as
Standard Register). She
loved serving at Ebenezer
Baptist Church where she
was a member. She always
enjoyed special fellowship
time with the ladies in her
Sunday School Class and
with the Seniors group.
She was always so much
fun on trips and during
church events. She proud-
ly worked with the Curra-
hee Military Museum.
Family members in-
clude her daughters, Shan-
non McAvoy and Tracy
Vandiver (Lane), both of
Crawford, Ga.; son, Bran-
don Bailey (Lacey), of
Hartwell, Ga.; grandchil-
dren, Whitney Roberson
(Jonathan), Clay Williams
(Allie), Colt Bailey, Cay-
den Bailey and Beau Bai-
ley; great-grandchildren,
McKenna Roberson, Cash
Roberson, Noah Williams
and Ruby-Lynn Williams.
In addition to her par-
ents, she was preceeded in
death by her husband,
William Carl "Bill" John-
son, Jr.
The family received
friends at the mortuary
from 4-6 p.m. Friday, July
11, 2025.
The family will hold a
private memorial service
at a later date.
