Kenneth Northcutt Obituary
Kenneth Hampton
Northcutt, 66, of Alpharet-
ta, Ga., passed away after
a short hospital stay of
natural causes on Aug. 24,
2025.
Kenneth was born on
July 17, 1959, in Toccoa,
Ga. He lived in Toccoa, at-
tending Stephens County
High School and graduat-
ing in 1977. He spent his
childhood enjoying lake
life and hunting with his
father. Kenneth was in-
volved in sports in high
school, sparking a lifelong
interest in college and pro-
fessional sports. He at-
tended the Georgia Insti-
tute of Technology begin-
ning in the summer after
high school graduation
and completed a degree in
industrial management in
1981. After graduating
from college, Kenneth
moved to Dallas, Texas, to
work for United Technolo-
gies/Otis Elevator. He
would go on to make sev-
eral moves for Otis, ad-
vancing his career with
each one. His last stop
with Otis was as the man-
ager of the Atlanta office.
He retired from that com-
pany in 2009 and immedi-
ately began a job with Nor-
ment Security in Mont-
gomery, Ala. He came
back to Atlanta in 2013 and
ended his working career
with Schindler Elevator,
retiring for good in 2020.
The Northcutts remained
in Alpharetta for 34 years,
raising their family in the
area. He made one stop in
Birmingham, Ala., in 1984
where he moved into an
apartment, meeting the
love of his life, Lisa Warn-
er, and they dated a year
before they married in
Ozark, Ala., in 1985. They
celebrated 40 years of mar-
riage this past April. Ken
and Lisa had two children,
Jarrett, born in Columbia,
S.C. in 1989 and Lauren,
born in 1992 while living
in Alpharetta.
Kenneth loved to sup-
port his children in their
various activities, Jarrett
with baseball and Lauren
with swimming and ten-
nis. He made lifelong
friendships during these
adventures. During retire-
ment, he joined a golf
group and a golf club
where he worked on his
game and had great cama-
raderie with fellow
golfers. If he was not play-
ing golf, he enjoyed follow-
ing Jarrett's baseball
games he coached and at-
tending University of
Georgia football games.
His most treasured pas-
time, however, was being
"CaCa" to his grandchil-
dren, they being the apple
of his eye. He loved them
with all his heart and they
brought him great joy. He
would never turn down
the opportunity to babysit
them if asked. Spending
time with family was his
greatest investment. Trips
with them included going
on cruises, skiing in Utah,
and visiting the beach, his
absolute favorite vacation
destination.
