Lawrence Barbour Obituary
Charles Barbour, age 75, of
Toccoa, passed away Sun-
day, Sept. 29, 2024, at
Abbey Hospice in Social
Circle, Ga.
Born Nov. 3, 1948 in Mt.
Carmel, Ill., he was the
son of the late Richard
Edelen and Marjorie Lee
Lange Barbour.
Mr. Barbour moved his
family to Toccoa in 1990,
and retired from Milliken
where he was production
manager for 35 years. He
was a member of St.
Mary's Catholic Church
and the Knights of Colum-
bus. He was a United
States Navy veteran, hav-
ing served two tours in
Vietnam.
Family members in-
clude his wife, Nancy
Gamble Barbour, of Toc-
coa; children, Chuck &
Rachelle Barbour of Beth-
lehem, Ga.; Lange & Jor-
dan Flowers of Rome, Ga.,
and Marlee & Ryan Flem-
ing of Cornelia, Ga.;
grandchildren, Maizee
Fleming, Ellie Barbour,
Declan Fleming, Ava Bar-
bour and Charlotte Bar-
bour; brothers, Rick Bar-
bour (Patty) and Bill Bar-
bour; sister, Laura God-
frey; brothers-in-law and
sisters-in-law, Walter &
Sandra Gaines and
Thomas and Brenda McK-
evlin; and several nieces
and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will
be held at 1 p.m. Friday,
Oct. 4, 2024 at St. Mary's
Catholic Church.
