84, of Toccoa, passed away
Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024.
A son of the late B.R.
Nix and Jettie Ward Nix,
he was born March 26,
1940 in Centerville, Ala.
He was a veteran of the
U.S. Navy and retired
from Delta Air Lines as an
aviation mechanic. He
moved to Toccoa in 1995.
He was of the Baptist faith
and attended Ebenezer
Baptist Church.
In addition to his par-
ents, he was preceded in
death by his wife, Lucille
Mize Cash Nix, by a
daughter, Judy Cash
Townsend and by a broth-
er.
Survivors include his
son-in-law, Jim Townsend
of Toccoa.
The family will have a
private memorial grave-
side at a later date in Al-
abama.
