Ron Richardson Obituary

Ron Richardson, of Toc-
coa, Ga., passed away
peacefully on Dec. 8, 2025,
after a long battle with
Parkinson's Lewy Body
Dementia. He was 77 years
old. Ron's life was a testa-
ment to strength, dedica-
tion, and love.
A proud Army veteran,
Ron served in Vietnam,
though he rarely spoke of
that chapter in his life. His
journey began at Georgia
Tech, where he earned an
engineering degree, lead-
ing to a distinguished ca-
reer with the Clorox Cor-
poration. This path took
his family to seven differ-
ent cities as he advanced
in his field.
Ron taught invaluable
lessons through both ac-
tions and words. A quiet
man, his thoughtful obser-
vations and insights were
always met with respect.
His wit and humor
matched his intellect.
Known for his thriftiness,
he was often the butt of
jokes about his extreme
comparison-shopping
habits. Renowned for his
handyman skills, he was
always willing to tackle
any project, no matter how
large or complex. He em-
braced challenges, often
spending days in his mas-
sive garage workshop, sur-
rounded by tools.
His passion for learning
shone through in his daily
routines. He read with the
purpose of self-improve-
ment, setting and achiev-
ing goals, big and small,
reflecting his tenacity.
Ron often solved mental
and mechanical puzzles
before his children got a
chance and once practiced
for days to master the Ru-
bik's Cube. He found great
joy in completing daily
crosswords, Jumbles, and
Cryptoquotes, a hobby he
pursued enthusiastically
until Parkinson's made it
too difficult.
Ron had a profound
love for his family; his
greatest joy came from
spending time with them.
He and Linda frequently
played bridge, cheered for
Georgia Tech sports, and
traveled whenever she
could convince him to
leave his favorite living
room chair. With children
on both coasts, he cher-
ished family gatherings,
whether playing "Family
Survivor" or simply enjoy-
ing meals together, which
usually included some-
thing grilled on Kingsford
charcoal. His devotion to
family was matched only
by his steadfast faith,
which guided him through
life's ups and downs.
Ron's legacy is one of
kindness, wisdom, and un-
wavering love. His pres-
ence will be sorely missed,
but his memory will live
on in the lessons and sto-
ries he shared with his
family.
Ron is survived by his
wife of 56 years, Linda
Adams Richardson, and
two of their three chil-
dren, Matt Richardson and
Tammy (Richardson), Car-
roll. He also leaves behind
seven cherished grand-
children: Gillis, Paden,
Ari, Marshall, Finn,
Ellery, and Mika. He was
preceded in death by his
parents, three older sis-
ters, and his son, Michael
Richardson.
A service to celebrate
his life will be held at
Acre-Davis Funeral Home
in Toccoa, Georgia on Dec.
13, 2025. Visitation will be-
gin at 1 p.m. before a 2
p.m. service. In lieu of
flowers, the family sug-
gests donations be made in
Ron's memory, to Sunny-
side Baptist Church at
1154 Mize Road, Toccoa
Georgia 30577.

I remember Ron and Linda in Eugene, Oregon as I grew up with Tammy and her brothers for a few years. I always thought they were great parents and always so welcoming and polite to me. Ron was a really nice man..I´m so sorry for your loss. You´re all in my prayers. May god be with you all in this time and may Ron RIP with the angels. He is home now in a beautiful world. Linda and family I send my sympathy to you as you adapt to life without Ronnie. We grew up together at Carnes Creek, Sunnyside, and Stephens County High. He was a great guy and y´all made the best couple. As you know, Al went to heaven this year too. Just know that Jesus will walk with you as you travel this new path. Prayers and hugs.
