Patricia "Patty" Sampson, age 20, fell asleep in Jesus on Thursday, November 7, 2024. She was born July 12, 2004 in Rochester, NY. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lisa Grill and great-grandparents, Alta and Howard Sampson, and Nancy Durfee.
Patty had a huge heart and adored children and animals of all kinds. She loved the simple things in life like riding around listening to music, especially with her sister Cynthia who was her very best friend. They had a special bond and Patty was the maid of honor at her sister's wedding in August. Her family meant the world to her and she was a Daddy's girl through and through. Patty enjoyed fishing, working puzzles, and was an avid reader. She was a collector of various things including perfumes. She had also become a big fan of all things Spiderman. Patty loved all holidays and decorating for them brought her so much joy. Despite being unable to walk, she lived a happy, full life and she didn't let anything keep her down. Her life was and continues to be an inspiration to all.
Those left to cherish her memories include her parents, Dale and Nathalie Sampson; grandparents, Dale Sr. and Leesa Sampson, Barbara Herenza and Ed Gentry; sisters, Cynthia Williams and husband Stacy, Elizabeth Sampson, and Katherine Sampson; brothers, Dale Sampson III and Aaron Madrey; aunts and uncles, Shelly and Rick Presnell and Tonya and George Grill; several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Evan Tyler Fox to officiate.
