Quick witted, lots of fun, and creative in solutions. In the setting we were together this was our interaction. She made me laugh and she made me aggravated but mostly she made me appreciate the day we were sharing. Knowing that her life by organ donation helped so many remains an inspiration, a call, and a hope others would follow her lead. Loved her. Love those who love her. I think of her every often with so much fondness. AND she is missed.

It is the Soldier
In Memory of Cassie Renee' Robinson Edwards
Louisiana National Guard

It's the Soldier,
not the pastor/preacher, who has given us freedom of religion and worship.

It's the Soldier,
not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.

It's the Soldier,
not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

It's the Soldier,
not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble and demonstrate.

It's the Soldier,
not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It's the Soldier,
not the politician, who has given us the right to vote, ensures our right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
It's the Soldier, Who salutes the Flag, who serves beneath the Flag and whose coffin is draped by the Flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag.

ETERNAL REST GRANT HIM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON HIM.

When I look back at some of the most important years of my life growing up, Cassie and her family always come to mind. I think I spent so many weekends at her house in high school. Just two weeks ago my oldest daughter asked me if I had ever toilet papered a house. I told her the story of me and Cassie getting in trouble doing it. I have so so many memories. I will continue to pray for y'all! I love y'all!

I had the honor of working with her and calling her my friend. She and I traded stories of our kids. She loved her girls so much. She was an encouragement in so many ways and such a strong and amazing woman. I hope her girls always remember how much their Mother loved them. She will be greatly missed by many. I will keep the family, especially her beautiful daughters, in my prayers.
