Forest Hill - Funeral services for Charles David Gillespie will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, August 13, 2018 in the Elwood Baptist Church in Forest Hill with Reverend Mike Evans and Reverend Steve Squyres officiating. Committal service will follow in the Pineridge Cemetery in Melder under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Charles, 52, of Forest Hill, entered eternal rest on Friday, August 10, 2018 in the Oak Care Center in Pineville. He was born March 13, 1966 in Lecompte to the union of Albert David Gillespie and Helen Butter Gillespie. He was a Baptist by Faith and was a truck driver.
He is preceded in death by his father, Albert David Gillespie; grandparents, Ennis and Druscila Butter; Shelbert and Leola Gillespie Bollanbacher.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are: two sons, John David Gillespie of Boyce, Jacob Gillespie and his fiancé, Hunter Boumans of Forest Hill; his mother, Helen Butter Gillespie of Forest Hill; one sister, Karen (Robert) Blais II of Forest Hill; nephew, Justin Blais of Forest Hill; along with a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Robert Blais II, Ronnie Melder, Butchie Seals, Perry Cloud, Roger Hogan, and Bryan Butter. Honorary pallbearer to serve will be Justin Blais.
Visitation will be held in the Elwood Baptist Church on Sunday, August 12, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., then on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 8 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m.

Helen, Karen and Family. I'm so sorry to hear about Charles today. My thoughts and prayers are with from the miles away. Sure brought back lots of great memories. I know God will lift y'all up and give you support where needed. Please stay strong and know that he is in a better place than us. I would enjoy a phone call when you feel up to it. (405)924-1217.
