Chris Tidwell Obituary
DeRidder - Chris Howard Tidwell, 69, of DeRidder, LA passed from this life on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
Chris started his career at Hanna Abington Ford in 1978. For the past 32 years he was part owner and dealer at Green Chevrolet-Chrysler in DeRidder, LA. Chris loved and respected each and every one of his employees and was so proud of them. He was a true man of integrity, humility and honesty. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 37 years, Nancy Lynn Tidwell of DeRidder, LA; son, Hunter Tidwell of Lafayette, LA; daughter, Stephanie Lyn Tidwell of Lake Charles, LA; brothers, Douglas Harper Tidwell and Terri of Alexandria, LA, Richard Grant Tidwell of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Christy Tidwell of Lafayette, LA; uncle, Carl Tidwell of Monroe, LA; life long best friends, Steve Alewine, Richard Monroe; three nephews, two great nieces; employees of Green Chevrolet-Chrysler; a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Ruffin and Margaret Ann Tidwell,II; brother, Charles Ruffin Tidwell,III.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at New Life Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA.
Brother Keith Manuel, Brother Lynn Clayton, Brother Kenneth Gibson. Pallbearers will be Ryan Tidwell, Christopher Tidwell, Chris Dear, Jessie Brister, Richard Poche, Jerrod Hohn. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carroll Green, William Williams, James Lynch, Carl Tidwell.
Burial will follow at Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.

Chris was one of the nicest men I have ever known. Friendly and respectful to everyone. Love his sweet wife Nancy, so sorry for your lose. My deepest regrets and deepest sympathy to you and your family.
