Services for Clarice Gates will be at 2PM, Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Dry Prong Baptist Church with Bro. Lloyd Whitman and Bro. Kenneth Hyde officiating. Visitation will be from 11AM until time of service at Dry Prong Baptist Church. Interment will be at Dry Prong Cemetery.

Clarice Gates, 71, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011 at her residence in Lumberton, Texas. Clarice was known to her family and friends as a loving and faithful wife to her wonderful and loving husband of 35 years. She was also a prayerful mother and grandmother who loved reading the Word of God. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcell and Mayo "Nig" Arnold; son, Gene Elton Taylor, Jr.; and daughter, Ginger Taylor.

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Kenneth Gates; four daughters, Vonda Mitchell and husband Tinker, Rhonda Williams and husband Kim, Becky Bryant and Karen Jones and husband Kenneth; fourteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one great great grandchild on the way; eleven siblings including seven brothers and four sisters.
