Funeral services for Mr. Delford Maricle will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Occupy #2 Baptist Church, Pitkin with Reverend Mike Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Occupy #2 Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Mr. Maricle, 77, of Pitkin, entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 10, 2014 in Woodland Nursing Home, Leesville.

Delford was retired from the United States Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis & Lola Willis Maricle; two brothers, Millard Maricle and Hubert Maricle; one son, Grover Strother, Jr.; two grandsons, Justin Gunter and Grover Strother, III.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of thirty-one years, Bobbie Willis Maricle of Pitkin; three sons, Joseph Maricle and his wife, DeDe of Centennial, Colorado, Matt Strother, Sr. and his wife, Angie of Hicks and Ronnie Strother and his wife, Trish of Pitkin; two daughters, Kathy Silva and her husband, Paul of Newport, Rhode Island and Lisa Gunter and her husband, David of Pitkin; two sisters, Nelda Johnson and her husband, Garnis of Elizabeth and Rita Grissom of Pitkin; nine grandchildren, Matthew Strother, Jr., Tiffany Saucier, Ashley Sesvold and her husband, Michael, Amy M. Brown and her husband, Ryan, Kasey Strother, Travis Gunter and his wife, Ashley, Craig Parady and his wife, Shelby, Tracey Gunter and Christopher Maricle; nine great grandchildren, Keauxdy Strother, Ashlynn Strother, Briar Reed, Leah Reed, Tucker W. Flynn, Drake Sesvold, Brooklyn Parady, Kallie Strother and Molly Gunter.

Friends may call at Occupy #2 Baptist Church on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services at 2:00 p.m.
