Funeral services for Dempsey Carroll Brack will be held Monday, July 8, 2013 at 11:00 am, at The Church House at Hicks, Louisiana, with Pastor Lorraine Smith, Shawn Wagner, and James Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Heritage Rowe Funeral Home of Leesville,Louisiana.

Carroll Brack, age 67, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Riverside Hospital, with his family by his side.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dempsey Brack and Iver Ball Brack.

Mr. Brack was a lifetime resident of Hicks. He served in the Louisiana National Guard. In his early years, he was a barber and realtor. He loved to read and keep in touch with friends and relatives.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, one sister, Charlotte Poe and husband Robert Bennie, of Alexandria, Louisiana, one nephew, Mark Poe, of Alexandria, Louisiana, two foster sons, Greg Watson, of Hicks, Louisiana, and Marc Watson and wife Jennifer, of Silsby, Texas. Mr. Brack also leaves behind a special cousin, Marla Busby and a great neighbor, Woodrow Burns and many cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Friends may visit at the Church on Sunday, July 7, 2913, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, and Monday July 8, 2013, 9:00am till services.

The family would like to offer special thanks to all the staff of Rapides General and Riverside Hospital and the Doctors and all the people who helped during his illness.
