Donald and Dorothy's presence in our lives was a gift for our family--Marc, Emily, Elizabeth and myself! They were very special people creating a very special place for our children to learn in an engaging way! Being a part of the Alexandria Montessori family was also very special for us! Meeting so many wonderful parents, teachers, and children during our time in Louisiana who were involved at Montessori was the highlight of our 4 years in Louisiana!
Dorothy, you will be in my thoughts and prayers, for I know that you can't help but miss Donald! I also know that he is there by your side in spirit, and that your strong faith will support you as you continue your earthly journey until you meet him in our heavenly home!

Dearest Mrs. Barry,
Remembering Mr. Barry as a wise and patient man who instilled the love of learning in the children that he instructed. Blessings to you during this difficult time. We, Allison Pentecost Little, Russ Pentecost, and I have very fond memories of our years as Donald and Dorothy Barry's students! Your Montessori program gave all who entered the school the opportunity to grow and flourish into productive and caring individuals. What a legacy!
Fondly,
Ginger Pentecost Cespiva

Mr. Barry was a true teacher beloved by his students and their parents. He made science come alive for them and their Montessori school was incredible. I am so thankful for the love of learning he inspired in my children Katie, Cara and Robbie and am so sad to hear of his passing.

Mrs. Barry,
I have had so many thoughts about you and Mr. Barry in the past few years that have been triggered each time I pass either of the Alexandria schools. Living in the Garden District, I often pass the Beech Street house and Natalie now lives just past the Hwy 1 location. There are soooo many memories that warm my heart. Both of you were my strength and comfort during our years together. I often tell others about the morning we were in the cemetery in the wee hours of the morning drinking hot chocolate and eating donuts while waiting to see "one of the planets". I also remember your patience with me when I would forget to pick up Natalie. I will be praying for you as the days pass and you face loneliness until you are able to be together again. I loved him so and know that he was a positive influence during Traci and Natalie's most informative years.
Love from Janice, Traci and Natalie Reynolds

Dear Mrs. Berry!
I am very sorry to hear about Mr. Berry's death. We loved him so much. I still remember those days of downtown library in Alexandria. Where you all started talking about having a Montessori school in Alexandria. I can still here you , Mr. Berry and my husband D.K Sharma talking, while I was busy with Jaya showing some books in library. We are so proud on you both that our children were the first ones to join your dream school. We miss you all so much. I don't know what to say at this time...........! I can only pray to GOD to give you strength to pass this hardest time of your life. We all with you! Anything we can do, we are ready to do it for you!!
Love you and miss Mr. Berry so much!!
