Earl Barbry was a force of nature througout his life! His sense of humor was unique and shared abundantly especially during times when everything seemed @ its worst! I had the opportunity to work with Earl when Indian Affairs was in its infancy in Louisiana...he will be missed by those of us who called him friend!

I met Chief Barbry only a few times when we, the National Park Service, worked with him and the tribe on the museum. He had a great passion for his heritage and traditions. This will not be forgotten

Even though I had never met Chief Barbry personally, I have the utmost respect for the work he did for the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe, the community of Marksville, the charitable causes he sponsored, and his devotion to recovering precious historical artifacts. He took great pride in his American Indian Heritage and paved the way for other American Indians to hold on to their traditions and honor. My condolences to his immediate family and the Tunica-Biloxi tribe, as well as his friends. His legacy will certainly live on. May you rest in peace, Chief Barbry.

I had the pleasure of meeting Chairman Barbry when I worked for a company in Louisiana that produced tourism maps. I watched the casino grow to the wonderful center that has given me hours of pleasant memories, and wonderful food at the buffet. Chairman Barbry will be remembered as a wise and generous man to the community of Marksville My prayers and sympathies to his family.

I had the privilege of meeting Chairman Barbry before the casino ever opened as I was one of the very first associates ever hired. But through the years we became friends as well
and I very much respected him. He was a very business driven as well as a community leader for the tribe as well as for Marksville. He will be greatly missed by all. I will especially miss him when I go in to play video poker and he isn't sitting on the side of me telling me his good luck had arrived!! My prayers go out to all of the family members.
