I got to know Mrs. Rayburn, aka Aunt Flossie in the mid-90's. She had business dealings in Crowley as well as family. We communicated via telephone monthly. It was routine; take care of business first and then talk family. Aunt Flossie LOVED her family, those here and those near her. She always made sure everyone was doing OK and if not, she needed to know. Such a smart, strong-willed woman. It's been many years since our last conversation but would ask about her thru family members. My prayers are with the family. I will always remember her fondly.

I remember Flossie she used to play with me when we visited my Great Uncle Dave. I talked to her the phone a few times.

I never met Mrs. Rayburn, but I'm equally certain I would have enjoyed knowing her. That supposition is based upon the old adage that the acorn never falls far from the tree. I have known Drs. Dave & Bruce for awhile, and physically and professionally they have helped me along the way.
My father is a retired physician in BR, and Dave & Bruce remind me of him in that they seem to be patient-oriented and not shackled by health insurance companies or the almighty dollar. They practice medicine the old school way, and cenla is better for it. I'm sure Mrs. Rayburn was proud of her sons, and I wish them the best in dealing with her passing.
