Funeral services celebrating the life of Gerald Pierce Bardwell will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 24, 2015 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville with Reverends Robby Poole and Richard Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Pineville Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and continued Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Bardwell, 79, of Deville, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Hilltop Nursing Home.

Mr. Bardwell was a member of Longview Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved the outdoors and football. He was a certified building contractor for 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin Henry and Mae Pearl Corbell Bardwell.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Peggy Poole Bardwell; son, Guy Pierce Bardwell and wife, Sherill; daughters, Sheri L. Paul and husband, Britt and Lisa A. Hebb; grandchildren, Jessica F. Williamson and husband, Tim, Alison N. Hebb, Jacob Paul, Tarrah Bardwell, Laura Paul and Kaitlyn Hebb; two great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Britt Paul, Philip Brooks, Jacob Paul, James Schneider, Sammie Ryland, Zachary Ducote and Scottie Brooks.

Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Curry, Donald Ray Fountain and Mark Tewson.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the employees and staff of Hilltop Nursing Home and St. Joseph Hospice.
