Gregory Spencer

Gregory William Spencer died at Salisbury Peninsula Regional Medical Center on February 3rd, 2017 in Salisbury, MD. He was 57.

Greg was born on September 22, 1959 in Opelousas, LA to his parents, Jerry B. and Mary Eugenia Spencer. He was married in Destin, FL to Shirley in 2010. Over the last 15 years, Greg worked on many large projects as a Commissioning Engineer for Dominion Power.

Greg was remembered by all as a caring and compassionate person, whom enjoyed every minute of his life with family, friends, and big toys.

Greg is survived by his wife, Shirley Spencer, son and daughter-in-law, Greg Lee and Amanda Spencer of Atlanta, GA; his step-son, Mauricio "Mau"; his brother, Eddie Spencer of Titusville, FL, his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Jr. and Sandra Spencer of Alexandria; his brother and sister-in-law, Thayer and Nancy Spencer of Atlanta, GA, his cousin-like-sister, Margaret & Bubba Cross of Pineville, LA, his cousin-like-sister, Joyce Delawyer of Mountain House, CA, his cousin-like-sister, Jeannie and Vent Risinger of Monroe, LA . He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Spencer Sr.

A memorial service will be held in Costa Rica for family where he will be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, please mail donations in the name of the deceased (Greg Spencer) to 331 Hoofbeat Trail, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Greg and I have worked on numerous projects throughout his time with Dominion. I know he will be missed by a lot of people but most of all I remember he was generous with helping anytime and cooked well also.
