Hazel Schmolke Obituary
Funeral Services celebrating the life of Hazel Barron Schmolke will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at The Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Reverend David Boothe officiating. Burial will follow at Alexandria Memorial Gardens.
The family asks that visitation be observed Monday, December 16, 2013 at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and resume Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Mrs. Schmolke, 93, of Alexandria, passed from this life on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at her residence.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend that will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Schmolke; parents, Thomas I. and Orpha Corley Barron and a brother, Thomas Brunson Barron.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Robert Henry Schmolke and wife, Jane, Bart Barron Schmolke and wife, DeeDee; daughter, Linda Rae Guillory and husband, Donnie; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Brian Schmolke, Robert Schmolke, Brandt Schmolke, Erick Schmolke, Connor Schmolke and Eric Chance. Honorary pallbearers are Walt Piper, Jacob Durant and Pee Wee Guillory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 5011 Jackson Street, Alexandria, LA, 71303
