Herbert Franklin Aaron, III

Kolin - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Herbert Franklin Aaron, III at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Sts. Francis & Anne Catholic Church, Kolin, with Rev. Binochan Jacob and Rev. Joy Antony officiating. Entombment will follow in Sts. Francis & Anne Mausoleum, under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning on Monday, January 14, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and will resume on Tuesday, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held in the Kramer Chapel at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Herbert Franklin Aaron, III, 63, of Kolin, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019, at Rapides Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Otha and Beatrice Hudgens, and Herbert F. Aaron, Sr. and Annie P. Aaron; and his parents, Herbert F. Aaron, Jr. and Virginia A. Aaron.

Herbert was born in Greenville, MS on August 16, 1955. He was a graduate of Pineville High School. Herbert retired from the Louisiana DOTD as an Engineering Technician after 34 years of service. He was a member of Sts. Francis & Anne Catholic Church where he served as an usher. Herbert was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. His hobbies included deer hunting, watching football, traveling and spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 40 years, Annette Dunn Aaron; their daughters, Kimberly A. Simms (Andrew) of Leesville, Brittany A. Walker (Jackson) of Baton Rouge, and Emily A. Balius (Ross) of Baton Rouge; his grandchildren, Aaron F. Simms, Annie M. Balius, and 2 arriving in 2019. Herbert also leaves behind his step mother, Marion P. Aaron; his siblings, Barbara Aaron (Sharlene Simon), Stephanie Girlinghouse (Walter), and Timothy Aaron (Michael McDonald); his aunt, Judy Milligan (Ira), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Andrew Simms, Jackson Walker, Ross Balius, Walter Girlinghouse, Randy Price, and Craig Stanbrough. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Dunn, Ferd Smith, Wayne Rister, and Timothy Aaron.

Memorials are preferred to Sts. Francis & Anne Catholic Church at 143 Booner Miller Rd. Deville, LA 71328.
