Jim Greer

Cleveland - Jim F. Greer, age 73, of Cleveland, Tennessee went to sleep in Jesus on Friday January 5, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 25, 1944, to the late Dayton and Mordelle Elston Greer. Jim was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer with mets to the liver, lungs and bones on November 1, 2017. Upon diagnosis he made arrangements to donate his body for pancreatic research in hopes of finding a cure. Jim requested no funeral or memorial services. Jim was a friend to all, his caring and loving nature has touched many and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Ann, of Cleveland, Tennessee; daughter, Tena and grandson, Trey, of Cleveland, Tennessee; brother, Jeff Greer (Royce) of Kirbyville, Texas; Brother in law, Silas Whaley (Vicki) of Rigolette, Louisiana; Brother in law, Richard Owens (Rena) of Pineville, Louisiana; Nephews, DJ Owens, of Pineville, Louisiana; Justin Owens of Pineville, Louisiana; Kamren Farr, of Kirbyville, Texas; Nieces, Patti Greer, of Kirbyville, Texas; Brandi Greer of Kirbyville, Texas; Zoe Chapman of Kirbyville, Texas and Aniyah Owens of Alexandria, Louisiana.

I am so sorry for this sad loss. I only knew Jim through my brothers, Steve, Jerry and Roger, but I really liked him. He was always so friendly and funny. My thoughts are with you all.
