Johnny Boswell Obituary
Services for Johnny "Cookie" Doyle Boswell will be at 2 PM, Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Laurel Hill Baptist Church, Leesville, LA with Pastor Calvin Robinson and Mark Woodham officiating. Visitation will be from 5 PM until 9 PM Friday, November 6th and from 10 AM until time of service Saturday, November 7th at the church. Interment will be at Laurel Hill Baptist Cemetery, Leesville under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.
"Cookie", 74, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Grace Home. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a member of Local 247 for 51 years. He was a Master Mason for 45 years.
He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Ashley Cutts; father, Lonnie M. Boswell; mother, Selma S. Boswell; and brother, Joseph Boswell.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Linda Woodham Boswell of Sieper; two daughters, Lisa Marie Boswell and partner Mark Bridge of Leesville and Ann Boswell Petre and husband David of Sieper; one grandson, Heath Cutts of Leesville; two granddaughters, Jessica Lee McKee of Sieper and Elizabeth P. Petre of Sieper; two grandsons, Robbie and Rhett Petre of Sieper; two great grandsons, Brayden Cutts of Sieper and Skyler Cutts of Singer; brothers, Jerry Boswell and wife Mary of Gardner and Jeff Boswell of Lafayette; sisters, Linda Bordelon and partner Gerald and Debbie Kimberly and husband Jimmy of Chandler, AZ; and a host of nieces and nephews and blessed to have many brother and sister-n-laws from both sides of the family.
Pallbearers will be Mike Boswell, Joey Boswell, David Petre, Lawayne Self, David Gordy and J.K. Bordelon. Alternate pallbearer will be Robbie Petre.
