Joyce Elloitt Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joyce Andrepont Elloitt, 82, announces her passing on Sunday, September 29, 2013 in Baton Rouge. "Yea, though I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, I will fear no evil: For thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me." A Funeral of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Friendship Baptist Church in Pine Prairie, 1020 Crooked Creek Rd. Burial will follow in The Friendship Baptist Cemetery with Bro. Joe Kite and Bro. Ray Ford officiating the services.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Joyce leaves behind her devoted children: Dennis Elliott and his wife, Marilyn of Birmingham, AL., Gary Elliott and his wife, Kristi of Bossier City and Beth Elliott of Baton Rouge. Her memory will be carried on by her three grandchildren: Stephanie Waller and her husband, James, Jason Elliott and his wife, Holly and Steven Elliott and her great grandchild: Michael Waller; they were the absolute light of her life. She will be sadly missed by her siblings: Joe Andrepont and his wife, Chelsea of Lafayette, Mildred Holden and her husband, J.R. of Pine Prairie, Viola Whittington and her husband, Merwin of Bayou Chicot, Sandra Andrepont of Baton Rouge and her sister-in-law, Bert Atwood and her husband, Jack of Texas City, TX.; their children, her nieces and nephews, will forever cherish the great times that they shared with her.
Joyce will now join in Heaven her beloved husband, Monroe Elliott, her parents, Martin Elliott and Elizabeth Gautreaux Deshotel, her brother, Donald Ray Andrepont and a grandson, Brady Walter. Their reunion will surely be a joyous occasion.
At the request of the Elliott family, visitation will be held at Friendship Baptist Church of Pine Prairie beginning at 9:00 AM Wednesday, October 2, 2013 and will continue until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.

Your mother was a joy to know. Joyce and Monroe were wonderful folks, and we enjoyed our many years of friendship with your family at Parkview. We have missed seeing her. I am sorry to hear of Ms. Joyce's passing. I never saw her without a smile on her face. We went to church together at Parkview in Alexandria, LA. May God assure each of you, her family, that she is well and looked after by the Lord himself.
