Funeral services for Karen Jean Carr LaCaze will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2016 in the Simmons Mill Pentecostal Church. Committal will follow in the Blue Branch Cemetery under the directions of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Karen, 62, of Pitkin, entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 04, 2016 in Pitkin. She was born August 6, 1953 in Desark, Arkansas to the union of Major Carr and Fern Land Carr. She was a Baptist by faith, a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her baby, Tammy Gwen LaCaze; two brothers, Jerry Carr and Amos Carr; one sister, Saundra Lamke.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are: her loving husband of 42 years, James "J.E." LaCaze of Pitkin; one son, Lionel LaCaze of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Vickie LaCaze Partin of Newton, Texas, Vicee (Danny) Bliss of Pitkin and Valerie (Chad) Martin of Pitkin; one brother, Harold Carr of Washington; one sister, Joyce Soileau of Ville Platte; eight grandchildren, Casey LaCaze, Eric LaCaze, Jamie Bliss, Lacey Partin, Skylar LaCaze, Jordan Bliss, Cole Martin and Rayne Martin; one great grandson, Christopher "J.J." Bliss; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers to serve will be Kent Lamke, Jerome Johnston, Daniel LaCaze, Ray Bliss, Garland Carr, and Scotty Causey. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Eric LaCaze and Cole Martin.

Visitation will be held at Simmons Mill Pentecostal Church, Friday, August 5, 2016 from 2 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. in the church on Saturday, August 6, 2016.
