Leonard Hamilton Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. Leonard L. Hamilton, Jr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at New Prospect Baptist Church, 111 Prospect Church Road, Dry Prong, Louisiana with Rev. Trey Lewis officiating. Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Sicily Island, Louisiana under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Mr. Hamilton, age 75, of Prospect Community, entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at his residence after a brief illness.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Pinecrest after 31 years of loyal service. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to New Prospect Baptist Church Community walking trail and park, 111 Prospect Church Road, Dry Prong, La. 71423.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Bernice Hamilton, Sr., a brother, Clyde W. Hamilton and a sister, Catherine Louise.
He is survived by his loving sister, Bernice L. Hamilton of Alexandria, Louisiana and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call at New Prospect Baptist Church, 111 Prospect Church Road, Dry Prong, Louisiana on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm and Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
