Funeral services for Mrs. Mertie "Sis" Deville will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Church of God, Deville, Louisiana with the Reverends Terry Deville and David Sistrunk officiating. Interment will be in Burlew Cemetery, Deville, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home of Ball, Louisiana.

Mrs. Deville, age 88, of Deville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Monday, January 23, 2017 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was a member of Deville Church of God. She was always thinking of "everyone else first" and she loved her God, family and friends. She will be missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ivy Deville; two sons, Spencer and Lane Deville; grandson, Alvin Phillips.

She is survived by two sons, Dayton Deville (Roxanne) of Deville and Edgar "Bubby" Deville (Robin) of Deville; one daughter, Bonnie Deville Phillips (Stanley) of Bay St. Louis, MS; two brothers, Tommy Burlew (Travis Lee) of Deville and Malcolm Burlew (Carolyn) of Deville; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the Church of God, Deville, Louisiana from 6:00 p.m. until time of services.
