Mrs. Bradford, 85, was born March 25, 1927 in Eldorado Arkansas to Needom and Myrtie Mae Sykes and passed from this life on Friday, February 8, 2013, with her family by her side at Winn Nursing and Rehab in Winnfield.

Filled with compassion and interest in others, Ruby made friends easily and maintained contact with many. As her children grew, she began working outside the home at Pinecrest State School where she had a great love for the residents, bringing some home with her for Christmas holidays if they had no where to go. Later, she worked at Hardtner Medical Center before retiring. She loved being outdoors, working in the yard and watching her flowers grow. She was a member of the Georgetown United Pentecostal Church. She was a soul-winner and was known for picking up people of all ages for church.

She is survived by daughters, Carolyn Cupit and husband Ronnie, Myrtle Lasyone and husband Doyle and Glenda Shelton and husband James; Son, Thurman Beavers and wife Brenda; Sisters, Barbara Paul and Jimmie Faye Kent; ten grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, first husband, Gamey Beavers, second husband, Harvey Bradford; two sisters, Betty Morris and Dorothy Nowlin; one brother, Ralph Sykes; nephews, Elmer Sykes, Eugene Sykes and niece, Debra Hodges.

Pallbearers will be Gene Cupit, Dewayne Lasyone, Glenn Cupit, Stacy Shelton, Damon Lasyone and Taylor Beavers.

Memorials may made to the Georgetown United Pentecostal Church.

The family wishes to express their sincere and deepest appreciation to the staff at The Winnfield Nursing and Rehab for their exceptional kindness and loving care of our mother and to her pastor, Donnell Spurgeon who was faithful to visit her.

Dear Carolyn, Myrtle Lee, Glenda and Thruman, I was so sorry to hear that your Mom passed. I'll never forget the good times I had spending the night with you all and your Mom and Dad at times. It had been a very long time since I saw her, but I remember her sweet spirit and how she and your Dad helped me with money to be able to go on our Senior trip. I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you all, but my thoughts and prayers are with you each and every one. We just lost Mom January 7th, so I can certainly feel your lose. I love you all, and pray for devine comfort at this your time of need. GOD bless, Maggie (Magdalene Kircher) Cowan
