Ruby Chevallier Obituary

Funeral services for Ruby Crooks Chevallier, 86, of Jena, will be held 10 AM Wednesday September 8, 2010 at Prosperity Baptist Church in Walters with Bro. Clois Cole, Bro. Walter Lloyd, and Bro. Dave Willoughby officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Deville. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 AM until service time at the church.
Ruby was born March 3, 1924 in Jena to John and Alzie O' Neal Crooks and she passed from this life on September 6, 2010 at the LaSalle Nursing Home in Jena.
She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Jena. She was a housewife who loved raising her wonderful children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband: Lloyd L. Worsham; father: John Crooks; mother: Alzie O'Neal Crooks; stepmother: Gertrude Crooks.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years: Raymond Chevallier; sons: Lloyd Worsham, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Fairbanks, Alaska; Richard Worsham of Jena; Bobby Worsham and his wife Kathy of Olla; Kenneth Chevallier and his wife Daisy; daughters: Sue Phillips of Jena; Lynn King and her husband Jimmy of Jena; Suzy Peebles and her husband Bill; Deirdre Minton and her husband Tommy; numerous grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery Bento, Nicholas Bento, Larry Lee Chevallier, Jason Worsham, Dustin Strickland, and Daniel Strickland.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Trey Peebles, Andy Haigh, and Kenneth Chevallier.
