How saddened I was to read today about Sammy's death. He was a long life friend and a wonderful Christian gentleman. I began my piano instructions at the age of 6 under his mom. He, his wife Phyllis and his whole family contributed so much to the Alexandria community. I know he will be missed by everyone who knew him and the family. My deepest condolences to all the family.

Dear Melanie, Michael, Ross and all the Dunbar family,
It is with great sadness that we learn of your dad's passing which I hope was peaceful and gentle. Your father was a dear friend of the Hereford family for many years; it was always a great pleasure to be the beneficiary of his gracious hospitality for the meetings at the lovely Windsor Court. I know you are grieved by your loss but rejoice that he and your dear mother are reunited again. With the most sincere sympathies, Beverley and Frank Hereford

Ross, Melanie & Diana,
You are all in my thoughts during this difficult time. I have such fond memories of your whole family...that go w-a-y back! However, more recently, just a few years ago when my husband and I were in Alexandria, having lunch with my parents at Spirits, we visited with your dad. Later, when the four of us got up to leave...it turned out he'd paid for our lunch?! Very much something your dad would do. My warmest sympathies to each of you and your families.
