Steven Normand Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. Steve John Normand will be held in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2011 with Father Jose Pallipurath officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Marksville. Arrangements are entrusted to Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville.
Mr. Normand, age 75, of Marksville, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2011 in Marksville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alton Normand, Sr.
He devoted his life and career to helping people in all walks of life with banking services for 50 years. He was employed by Rapides Bank, Cenla Bank, Bunkie Bank, Hibernia and Capital One. He also served on the Board of Directors for several banks in the community.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all of his family.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Normand of Marksville, son, Bruce Normand and wife Catherine of Marksville, daughter, Liz Normand, mother, Alice Brouillette Normand of Marksville, brothers, Alton Normand, Jr., of Marksville, Davis Normand and wife Unsun of Alaska, grandchildren, Bruce Normand, Jr., Danielle Normand, Louis Normand, and Molly Normand, all of Marksville, Matthew Voorhies and wife Karen of Georgia, KayLee Voorhies of Lafayette, and Rikki Nesbit of Marksville, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will resume on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
A Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 in the chapel.

My deepest condolences go out to the family and my dear friend Liz. Mr. Steve was a wonderful person and will be missed by many. He is in heaven now watching over all of his loved ones. Love all of you, Steph.
