Theresa Giles Obituary

Theresa Lynn Cotton Giles

Funeral services for Theresa Lynn Cotton Giles will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2015 in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Larry Farris and Brother Joey Whiterner officiating. Committal service will follow in the Cryer Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Theresa, 46, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria with her loving family by her side. She was born January 17, 1969 in Oakdale to the union of Doyle Lee Cotton and Martha Elizabeth Perkins. In 1987, she graduated from Fairview High School and was a member of the Fifth Avenue Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed at the Oakdale Community Hospital as administrative assistant. Theresa loved singing in her gospel group; she never missed practice and was always on time. Her family was her life and she cherished every moment with them. Theresa set an example for all women as a true Godly woman and mother. She was a proud deer hunter and killed her first deer 3 weeks ago, "A 12 Point Buck". She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her grandparents.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are: her loving husband of 28 years, Evan Wade Giles of Oakdale; three daughters, Hannah Leigh Giles, Hilliary Ann Giles, and Haiden Grace Giles all of Oakdale; one sister, Patricia Ann Cotton of Sulphur; two grandchildren, Olivia LeAnn Giles and Lucas Wade Rodriguez; one grandchild on the way, Bryson Lee Rodriguez; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers to serve will be Hunter Baronet, Tyler Gilley, Bradley Gilley, Brad Gilley, Stacey Hudson, and Daniel Ware.

Visitation will be in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., then on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 9 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m.
