Carol McLaughlin

September 5, 1945 to August 13, 2023

Carol McLaughlin, age 77, of Nevada City, California, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2023. Born Carol Ann Enz on Sept 5, 1945, she was a beloved mother, grandmother, friend and member of her community.

Carol is survived by her Children Troy & Brigitte Bedell, daughter-in-law Ginger, and Grandchildren Joseph Bedell, Quinn Watson and Savannah Watson. She is also survived by her brothers Paul, Bob, and David Enz. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Michael McLaughlin and her parents Joseph and Martha Enz.

Carol started her professional career as a cosmetologist, owning several salons in Oakland in the early 70s. After relocating to Grass Valley, she continued her work as a beautician then branched out into the field of real estate and eventually retired as a loan officer. She also owned LaPlumerie in downtown Grass Valley. After retirement, Carol enjoyed spending time at the Yuba River and challenging herself with NY Times Crosswords.

Carol will be remembered for her kind-hearted nature and her laughter. Her indelible imprint on the lives she touched will forever remind us of the power of a kind soul and the legacy it leaves behind.

A celebration of life will be held Sept 23rd at her home in Nevada City.
