Gerald Sherman Obituary
December 11, 1945 TO June 13, 2024
Hurricane, UTAH - Gerald Lloyd Sherman, age 78, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024. He was born December 11, 1945, in Richmond, CA, to Harold Lloyd Sherman and Clara Nadine Beasley. He is preceded in death by both his parents.
Gerald, called Jerry by family and friends, graduated from Sunset High School in Hayward, CA, in 1965, and graduated from Bethany Bible College in Santa Cruz, CA, with a Bachelors degree in Theology in 1971. During his final years in college, he met and married Carolyn Ann Martin, in 1969, and remained married with her until his death.
Jerry and Carolyn have two children, Robert Lloyd Sherman and Jennifer Lynn Stearns. Robert has one daughter, Paige Ann Sherman, and Jennifer and her husband Kevin Tilden have twins, BriAnna Sophia and Kaden Tilden Stearns.
Jerry and Carolyn lived for 40 years in a gated community, Lake of the Pines, located in Northern CA, where Jerry built numerous custom homes for many families. After Jerry's grandchildren BriAnna and Kaden were born, he and Carolyn left Lake of the Pines to live near their grandchildren, eventually moving to Hurricane, UT. All of Jerry's grandchildren were the "light of his life" and the most satisfying days included picking them up from school and entertaining them until after dinner and their parents took them home.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Spilsbury Mortuary Chapel located at 25 2000 West, Hurricane, UT.
Internment will be in the La Verkin City Cemetery located at 580 N State St, La Verkin, UT on Thursday, June 20, 2024.
