Thomas Capper Obituary
September 20, 1930 to April 23, 2024
Thomas Howard Capper, age 93, of Grass Valley, CA, passed away on April 23, 2024. He was a kind and loving husband, father, and friend. Thomas is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Ellen (McFadden) Capper, daughter Laura (David Blum), son James Capper, daughter Elizabeth Cavanaugh, grandchildren Jaclyn Bouey, Jessica (Kyle Turner), Jared Capper, Austin Capper, Christopher Whitehead, Shane Cavanaugh and Cole Cavanaugh and a great grandchild Jane Bouey. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
Thomas proudly served in the Air Force for 14 years. Following his military service, he had a successful career as an Air Traffic Controller for over 30 years, working with both the US Air Force and civilian airports.
In his free time, Thomas enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Grass Valley.
A funeral service will be held at Calvary Cemetery and Funeral Center on Monday, May 13 at 11 am, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery at Noon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of

I had the pleasure of knowing Tom for a long time. He was my brother´s father-in-law and was always such a funny, kind man. He will be greatly missed by everybody. I hope he´s up there golfing away!
