Earnest L. Osborne

Mr. Earnest L. Osborne, age 100 of Crawfordville, passed away December 15, 2017 at home with his family by his side.

Mr. Osborne was a welder in the manufacturing industry for many years before his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and machinist. He will be remembered as a jack of all trades. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends most of all.

He is survived by his wife, Ammie of Crawfordville; his sons, Calvin (Kim) Osborne, Dough Minshew, and Daniel (Casanova) Nurse; daughters, Glenda Gregory, Betty (Bill) Elsberry, Martha Smallwood, Dale (Dennis) Litchfield, Beth (Dwayne) Clough, Dana (Michael) Escorpizo, and Paige (David) Rowe; sister Eddith Ward; 34 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Osborne is preceded in death by his wives: Era Osborne and Delma Osborne; his parents: Lige and Bertha Osborne; daughter: Doris Carroll; and son-in-law: James Gregory.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 18, 2017 at Ivan Assembly of God, Crawfordville, with Pastor Daniel Cooksey officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow 2:00 p.m. CST, Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, 11640 County Road 29, Centre, Alabama 35960.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wakulla Senior Citizens Center, Crawfordville.
