Sherida Crum Leffert

1946 - 2024

Sherida Crum Leffert, 77, of Crawfordville passed away peacefully, after an extended illness.
Sherida was a native and life-time resident of Wakulla County. Sherida worked at the Wakulla County School Board, before she was elected to the Wakulla County Supervisor of Elections, where she served for over 28 years. She enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. Sherida loved eating out and always enjoyed fish and shrimp. She was an active member of Lake Ellen Baptist Church before her health declined and was a part of the Eastern Star.
She will be remembered by her children, Keisha Crum-Cannon (husband David), Derrick Crum; brother D.W. Sanders, brother-in-law Mike Crum and wife Colleen; sister-in-law Teresa Crum; seven grandchildren, Torie Kendall and husband Kody, Ansley Crum, George Eli Crum, Chris Crum, Georgeanna Cannon, Nola Cannon, and Bella Cannon; and four-great grandchildren, Baylor, Everett, Everly, and Hunter.
Sherida was predeceased by her husband and father to her children, George Crum; husband Jay Leffert; brother Walter Sanders; and sister-in-law Shirley Crum Core.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Family Funeral Home/Harvey Young Chapel. The Funeral Service will be Monday, February 19, at 11 a.m. at Lake Ellen Baptist Church with burial will follow at the church cemetery.
