Candice Wriedt Obituary
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late James and Dora Denault.
Candice worked at Charter Oak Credit Union as a Teller for many years.
She leaves behind her husband Chris; her sister Pam Manner of Virginia (Ed); and several nieces and nephews. Candice was predeceased by her brother Kevin Denault, her half-brother Michael Denault, and half-sister Judy Burke.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, August 15th, from 4pm - 7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Graveside Funeral Service will take place at First Hopkinton Cemetery, Chase Hill Road, Ashaway on Tuesday, August 19th at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National MS Society, PO Box 1748, Hartford, CT 06144-1748 in Candices memory. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com

I´m so sad to hear of Candy´s passing. I went to school with her from the 1st grade up to graduation. Candy was such a happy sole I don´t think I´ve ever seen her angry, always a smile on her face. I´m sure she received God´s grace,getting the rest she so deserves.

25 or so years ago my son and I were at a banquet where you received an award in the field of athletics.
I dont remember exactly for what accomplishment but I do remember your speech.
You started out by saying how grateful you were for the honor but then proceeded to spend the majority of your speech talking about your wife.
You honored her by making us in the room aware of her courage and fighting spirit.
How she was the one who deserved all of the praise.
You made her feel like the star of the night.
That speech has stayed with me all these years.

Chris, I knew Candi as Pam´s little sister. Pam & her siblings were the same ages as me & my siblings. She was in school with my sisters & always a sweetheart. Through Pam I know how devoted a husband you were and how caring you were.

Coach Wriedt so sorry for your loss. I only knew Candy as a customer at the Sears catalog store in Westerly many years ago. She was such a pleasant and happy young girl. I always looked forward to waiting on her. Thank you for being such a good and faithful husband to Candy by giving her the best life possible. God bless you and keep you. May she rest in peace.
