Charles T. 'Charlie' Moore II, 78, of Pawcatuck, CT, passed away Friday November 10, 2017, in Mystic. Charlie was born on April 4, 1939, in Groton, a son to the late William G. and Lillian O'Brien Moore. He was married to his loving wife Irene (Slocum) for 34 years. The start of his professional golf career began soon after serving in the National Guard and working at Electric Boat. As a golf professional, Charlie enjoyed teaching golf at The Farms and Shelter Harbor Golf Clubs, where he was able to impact so many lives. Those fortunate enough to play a round of golf with Charlie will cherish those memories forever. He will be remembered for his quick sense of humor, contagious smile, phenomenal memory, and his devotion to his children and grand-children.

Charlie I was thinking of you about a month ago when I was in Groton near the golf course and Electric Boat. The great conversations that you, Tom and I had about Groton, Stonington and Westerly over the years working together at Shelter Harbor Golf Course. God Bless and someday we can continue the conversation

A couple of weeks ago I was thinking of Charlie. Was when I was playing golf and one of the clubs I was using was one that Charlie gave me. Also told Dave at the club that I miss the good conversations I had with both Charlie and Tom.

Charles Thomas Moore, the places that knew you will know you no more. And we, your loved ones, will mourn the loss of our Uncle Charlie--your winning smile, your smiling blue eyes, and your stories until we meet again. In the meantime, enjoy your days with your grandparents, your parents, your brother, our mother, and our sons and may all your games be below par.
