David W. Clark

David W. Clark of Newport, RI passed away August 27, 2013 at the Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his family. David was born August 4, 1951 to the late William Clark Sr. and Natalie Turano. He graduated from Chariho High School in 1970 with the title of "Class Clown." Known as "Clarkie", David worked at Guild Guitar on Industrial Drive, and then later as a carpenter at Electric Boat in Groton. David was an avid car lover and was known in town for his 1968 Black Camaro with the license plate "Dyno." Survivors include sisters Jane Turano DeMartino Raposo of Westerly RI, Beth Shaw and husband Ron of Jacksonville FL, Robin Buck and partner Michael Smith of Westerly RI, a brother William Clark Jr. and wife Janet of Charlestown RI, as well as many nieces and nephews. David was pre-deceased by a brother, Lawrence Clark.
There will be a graveside service at River Bend Cemetery on September 7, 2013 at 11:00 am. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Colors for a Cause, 20 Center St. Charlestown RI 02813.
