David Gervasini Obituary

David W. Gervasini, 64 of Bradford, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2022 surrounded by his family.

David was born in Westerly to his loving parents, Elizabeth and Robert Gervasini. He was the youngest of four children. After graduating from Westerly High School in 1975, David went on to earn his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Rhode Island. After completing his undergraduate degree and spending some years working in RI, David decided to pack his bags and head across the country to attend law school in California. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Western State College of Law in Southern California in 1986. Some of David's most treasured memories in life are from the days that he spent in California. After graduating from law school, David moved back home to Westerly where he married the love of his life and started his family. David began his law practice in Westerly in 1987 where he practiced for 20 years. In his tenure as a lawyer, he was on many boards and subcommittees where he took great pride in bettering the community that he lived in.

David was a kind, gentle and patient man. He was laid back, soft spoken and loved to tell stories. David battled the debilitating illness of Multiple Sclerosis for many years but he did so with grace and never let anyone know just how much he was hurting. He adored his entire family and he deeply loved his three children.
He was an avid Patriots fan and spent many years attending Pats games with his father and family members. David was a lifelong communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Parish and was a very spiritual person who had a deep faith in God.

David is survived by his mother Elizabeth Gervasini who lovingly took care of him for his entire life; his siblings, Robert (Teresa) Gervasini, Gary (Deborah) Gervasini and LuAnn (Kenneth) Shoemaker; his three children, Hillari (Gaetano) DeGiacomo, Kevin (Katie) Gervasini and Michael Gervasini and his fiancé Meggie Pringer; and the mother of his children, Gina Gervasini. He also leaves behind his two beautiful granddaughters, Emma and Ava DeGiacomo along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his father Robert Gervasini; and sweet grandson Anthony J. Gervasini.

Gervasini Family,
I was honored to know David over the years as our path crossed with one another he as and Attorney and I as a Police Lieutenant. I recall David and his mom walking along the roads in Bradford. His brother Gary is a retired Police Officer we worked together. His brother Robert was a business man. Their father was good carpenter who did work on my home with Artie Grills.
Rest in peace David you left a footprint for others to follow.
