Diane Lee Pelletier

KISSIMMEE, FL - Diane Lee Pelletier, born on November 13, 1940, in Westerly, RI and daughter of the late Josephine and Rosario Tasca passed away peacefully at her home on August 22, 2025, in Orlando, FL, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her son, Gary A. Pelletier and his partner, Greg, several nieces and nephews and many loving friends and neighbors. Diane is predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Pelletier, Sr. (October 2018), her son, Robert E. Pelletier Jr. (July 2024) and her grandson, Evan Hanes Pelletier (January 2007).

Diane graduated from the University of Rhode Island with an RN/BSN in nursing in 1962. She joined the Stonington Visiting Nurse Association (later the Visiting Nurse Association of Southeastern Connecticut) in 1964 and remained with the organization for 37 years, retiring as Clinical Supervisor in 2001. During her tenure she cared for thousands of patients in the southeastern Connecticut region and organized many childcare clinics and health fairs in the area. After retiring, Diane and her husband relocated to Orlando, FL.

In her spare time Diane enjoyed shopping, traveling, gardening, home decorating and spending time with family and friends. She also loved babysitting children, including her beloved grandson before he passed away, as well as children in her local neighborhood and from her parish. She became a "second grandmother" to many. Diane was an active congregant of the Holy Cross Catholic Church and was part of the Women of the Cross prayer group where she had many dear friends.

Diane will be remembered by all as an incredibly kind, thoughtful, and caring individual. Her radiant smile could light up any room and brighten everyone's day. She will be deeply missed.

A funeral mass will be held for Diane at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Orlando, FL. A private burial will follow in Westerly, RI.
