Eileen Padian Obituary
She was born on September 6, 1937 in New Brunswick, NJ. She was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Cunnane) Padian.
Eileen graduated from The Norwich Free Academy in 1955.
She was an accounts payable (Payroll Supervisor) at the Westerly Hospital and retired as a Payroll
Administrator at A.T. Cross in Lincoln, RI. Eileen had the most contagious smile and witty sense of
humor. Eileen loved gardening ,listening to all genres of music, reading about US Presidents and loved
traveling to Ireland. She was passionate about her Irish heritage.
She leaves her daughter Susan Strafach, son Joseph Strafach III (Faith); her siblings James Padian (Jean Patterson), William Padian (Margaret); her grandchildren Joseph William Strafach "Will" (Lucia), Samuel Strafach, and Spencer Clarke, and several nieces and nephews. Eileen was predeceased by her dear sister, Theresa Bedard of Brooklyn, CT.
A private celebration of Eileen's life will be held at the River Bend Cemetery in Westerly.
Buckler Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main Street Westerly, RI is assisting the family with arrangements.

I realize this is late getting to you but I wanted to express my condolences for the loss of Eileen. She was part of our family for many years and my kids Abby and Dylan referred to her affectionately as Neena. She was married to my dad for many years and we were close with her. She had the best laugh! We would always try to get her to laugh in order to experience the joy she would exude when she found something funny. She was so kind and loving to my kids and we all missed her when she left. I hope she is at peace and all of you still feel her presence. Best wishes to you all.

I worked with Eileen many years ago at the hospital and absolutely have the fondest memories of her and the many laughs we shared. She was a gem! My deepest condolences to all of her family.

I will miss her and her Irish sense
Of humor! We shared many a laugh
And tales of the Irishmen! She was a tough gal and she will leave her legacy for us in memories shared.
