He is survived by his five children, James D. Fish Jr., and his wife, Sharon, of Pawcatuck, Mary K. Fish Salimeno and her husband, Tom, of Berlin, Eileen Fish Lenihan and her husband, Jeffrey, of Pawcatuck, Anne Fish Armstrong and her husband, Brian, of Manchester and Sheila Amsden-Fish and her wife, Myra, of Waterford; twelve amazing grandchildren, Mallory and husband, Paul, of Australia, Hailey of Pawcatuck, Andrew, Kristin, and Kelli of Berlin, Ethan and Christian of Pawcatuck, Bradley, Carly, William and Kathleen of Manchester and Hayden of Waterford; and two step-grandchildren, William and Christopher of CT; his oldest sister, Alice Watson of Mystic; many nieces and nephews, especially, Karen, Lisa and Nancy and his former wife, Kathleen (Abbott) Fish. He will also be missed by his longtime friend, Jim Clifford and his many other friends at his local morning coffee groups in Mystic and his weekly dinners at the Dog Watch and Water St. Cafe.
Jim grew up in Mystic, CT with his three siblings, Edmund, Alice, and Nancy. They enjoyed fishing, swimming, clamming, anything to do on the water and was a graduate of Stonington High School class of 1955.
Jim was in the U.S. Army stationed in the Marshal Islands from 1956 to 1958. Upon return, he worked at Electric Boat from 1959 to 1965 and transferred to Pfizer where he enjoyed a 30 year career retiring in 1998.
He enjoyed golf, skiing, woodworking, gardening, helping others, was a UCONN Womens Basketball fan and enjoyed giving back to the community through several local charities he supported.
