Janet R. Sullivan

Janet R. (Grady) Sullivan, 80, died peacefully at home on January 24, 2022 surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. For 57 years, she was the beloved wife of the late James P. Sullivan.
Janet graduated from St. Xavier Academy in Providence, RI. The ultimate caregiver, she generously shared her joy, wisdom, and love with family and friends. She celebrated and served the community in various organizations including St. Clare Church's Eucharistic Ministry and Helping Hands.
Janet will be missed by her children, Colleen Sullivan Cannon and her husband Jack of Mystic, CT, Maureen Donaghey and her husband Sean of North Kingstown, James P. "Jay" Sullivan, Jr. and his wife Caroline of Summit, NJ, and Sean Sullivan and his wife Sheila of Fairfield, CT.; her brother Raymond Keough; sister-in-law Dorothy Grady; nieces and nephews. She was the loving grandmother of Maggie, Timothy, Rowan, Colin, Peter, Michael and Anna Sullivan, Mary Kate and Brendan Donaghey and Kathleen Cannon. Janet was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law Francis and Joan Grady, her brother Richard Grady and brothers-in-law John and Robert Sullivan.
Janet's family is grateful for the support and guidance of amazing caregivers, medical teams, HopeHealth Hospice and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clare Church, 62 Crandall Avenue, Westerly at 10 am on Monday, January 31, 2022. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janet's memory to the James P. and Janet Sullivan Endowed Scholarship Fund, Providence College, OIA, 1 Cunningham Square, Providence, RI 02918, St. Clare Church, or the Warm Center, 56 Spruce St, Westerly, RI 02891.
