Sorry to read of Joes passing. Such a good soul. You could always count on a friendly conversation or just to say hey Joe.

So very sorry to read of your loss. I first met Joe many years ago when my late wife was a teachers at Dunns Corner Elementary School. She said you'll like him, he's a retired FDNY firefighter. Having a brother who was a FDNY fire marshal and being a volunteer firefighter myself, we hit it off great when I did meet him. I did not realize it but I have a t-shirt form "La Casa Grande" firehouse which I visited on 911 one year. I eventually provided Joe with a login for free internet access which we were giving out to teachers and some staff. This was long before the internet was an everyday necessity. I pushed it a little when I gave Joe the logon but I liked him and he took care of anything my wife needed for her classroom.
A funny story about Joe was when I was teaching in my special ed classroom at Chariho, the school secretary called my office and said Bill, your uncle is on his way down to see you. He said it was an emergency! Joe was addicted to the internet access I gave him and he was not able to get online for some reason. He wanted me to come over to his house and fix the problem which I did.
Joe was a good guy and will be missed. I wish for Joe's family that your good memories sustain you as you deal with your grief.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Joe was such a sweetheart and had such radiant energy. He loved to tell me about his fire-fighting days and we'd always share a good laugh. He will be missed by many, my condolences.

Crisanti Family,
Had the honor of meeting Joe when he first moved to Westerly and the rest is history. Memories with Joe.
Joe was quick wit and was sharp. We played on the same basketball team in the YMCA men slow break league. and won the championship. First game together I took the first 5 shots and made them all we led 10-2. The other team called time out, in our huddle Joe said to me are you going to shoot all the time, quick pause, you're going to wear your arm out. That was the beginning of our friendship. To this day I never found out for sure who nailed another player's shoe to the floor in the locker room. Being an ex-police officer I bet it was Joe. Joe made a shot and I said nice shot Joe, his quick response back was I nailed it. GUILTY. Joe always had a smile on his face
and a joke or two to tell, We played golf a few times together and he was the same old guy if I had a good drive or made a good putt he would say you were lucky.
If he missed a putt the sun was in his eyes.
I believe Joe was greeted with open arms in the spirit world by all the other guys who passed before him. Rest in peace Joe you brought a lot of laughter to town when you arrived. Where we are now Joe was. Where Joe is now we shall be.

Joey was a favorite cousin. He always teased his younger cousins but we knew it came from his loving, caring way! He was always fun to be with and we will miss him. RIP JOEY
